About John Aaron

John Aaron is an award-winning artist, author, activist, stage and street performer

who has been at this for almost 5 decades. His porcelain sculpture is considered

amongst the most unique bodies of work in American clay. Based in Oldtown

Louisville, Colorado in the Front Range, he’s been the official Action Painter during

the last two summers at the Louisville Friday Evening Street Faire.  A Florentine style

street painter with a somewhat unorthodox manner, he paints everywhere he travels.

One might see him painting by the Corner Bar at the Boulderado on 13th and Spruce

on fair weather weekends. His book, Color Me Aspen, received 2nd place in the

National Indie Excellence Awards earlier this year. He was included in the 2023 LAA

National Juried Art Exhibition and was an award winner in the Up Arts Incubator’s

4th Annual Creep Up. John was recently invited to join the respected international

artist/activist collective, the Artnauts, and is preparing a special work for the “Resilience
